About the project
Designed by Sundukovy Sisters, this Radisson Blu Hotel has only 80 rooms that are all architecturally different. The designers were tasked with updating the interiors, so in order to attract the attention of both hotel guests and passers-by, light installation artwork was created in the reception area – an attractive brass spiral that gives off a warm light, and is visible from the entrance hall, the lobby, the restaurant, and the second floor elevator hall. A steam fireplace in the center of the lobby serves as an air humidifier while also creating a cosy and warm atmosphere. Circular themed furniture and furnishings take precedence here. A large semicircular rug, pocket sofas, huge rounded armchairs, and a rounded bar counter. Metal and mirrors expand the space and contrast with the restrained colour palette of the lobby, drawing the guests’ attention to the bar.
In the restaurant, a ‘fire-lake’ concept features lots of wood – mosaic parquet floors, wood veneer with built-in lighting on the columns, as well as details on furniture and tabletops.
In the rooms, clear lines and natural colours form the predominant concept with lots of bright colour accents. The furniture is unassuming, elegant, and timeless, while the bathrooms feature a darker background with a graphic theme that stylistically connects them to the rooms. The result is a modern, not too trendy interior that would remain timeless.
