About the project
Designed by Kristina Zanic Consultants in collaboration with Aati Contracts, the Rainforest Spa is nestled within the Ritz-Carlton in Ras Al Khaimah. The concept brief was to maintain the rainforest theme of the existing spa and convert the mood of the space to a warmer tone than the previous design.
The team redesigned the reception with a biophilic feature wall and added wood detailing with value-engineered furniture to create a natural look and feel to the spa. The main pool and lounge area also underwent a change in design. Using locally manufactured wall and floor tiles, the team kept the existing finishes such as the dark wall tile and maintained the same finish throughout the wet area with additional new paint to other walls and ceiling.
