About the project
Designing an office for a business dealing with precious goods has its own layers of intricacies. and JTCPL Designs + HTS Interiors had an amplified challenge to craft an office space that would represent not only the client, Saahil Mehta’s professional endeavors but also encapsulate his passion. As an entrepreneur, author, speaker and mountaineer, the client’s personality has many dimensions; and his workspace was meant to cater to all his interests and activities.
Given the primary nature of business, the space was bifurcated into two distinct areas. One of them is the secure section with a high degree of vigilance and movement control, while the other area is more open for meetings and hosting friends, family, clients, etc. Both sections are directly accessible whilst being internally connected with a narrow passage.
Minimalism and monochrome themes ruled the color palette and styling trends, thus allowing the small space to look grander than it actually is. Using just the right amount of art and biophilia were crucial to creating an inspiring ambiance. Vertical fins were smartly used to balance the curvilinearity of the existing layout. Smooth lines and curved pathways were carved to minimise corners and add a sense of fluidity to the space.
