About the project
The Hermitage is a 12 square meter wooden cabin designed as a space for contemplation and introspection. Located in the Trebbia Valley in Italy, in the heart of the Apennines, it was designed by llabb and assembled by the team in a 15-day construction workshop last summer. Dry-mounted and off-grid, it elaborates modernist themes while drawing inspiration from Japanese teahouses and Scandinavian cabins. It’s a studio, a retreat, a tea room or a guesthouse.
