‘Explore Pinnacle’ with Patricia Millns, Phil Handforth & Clara Voce

Amidst the buzz of Dubai Design Week 2023, Pinnacle Interiors, a reputable Design & Build Contractor in the city, came up with an engaging series of events under the umbrella of ‘Explore Pinnacle’. The centre of it all was their freshly refurbished, extended branch in D3, elegantly oozing their signature branding. On December 8th, 2023, a particularly insightful talk about art, photography and interiors ensued at their location. Read on to learn more about the agenda….

Pinnacle Interiors boasts over a decade of experience in interior design and fit-out. Under the aegis of Joseph Charles, the firm’s owner and managing director, Pinnacle has transformed from a boutique operation to a brand in itself.

That may be why their spanking new office in the bylanes of Dubai Design District boasts finesse and thoughtful inferences. To showcase the same prowess, the team at Pinnacle concocted a series of events called ‘Explore Pinnacle’ during Dubai Design Week 2023. Beginning with an intimate launch and concluding with a dinner party, the agenda of ‘Explore Pinnacle’ was to educate peers and potential clients about the recent strides the firm has made.

On the second day of Dubai Design Week, Pinnacle Interiors hosted a talk to highlight their dialogue with collaborators. The topic of debate was ‘Culture and Crossover: The Synergy between Art, Photography and Interior Design. Moderated by Vikita Shahani, Director of Strategy and Innovation, Love That Design and the stellar panellists – Patricia Millns, Artist and Ambassador for Dubai Design District and Artist; Phil Handforth, a known architecture photographer spearheading his namesake practise and Clara Voce, Creative Director, Pinnacle Interiors – each felt passionately about their fields. But what did they think about the coalition between them?

From discussing whether photography is art or just a medium to capture it, to details about what constitutes art and whether art needs to be curated with the proper lighting in interiors, to exploring UAE’s exemplary growth in fusing art with interiors, to the rapidly evolving cultural scene, the panellists exhausted the topic with gusto. Phil’s photography and Patricia’s art were also exhibited at the venue and made for stand-out elements. The audience seated in the boxy, newly installed amphitheatre erupted into laughs and tuned in pensively periodically. All in all, the session opened unthought-of avenues for everyone present.

The next day, Studio Lumen starred in an interactive session at the venue. Here, attendees indulged in a journey about lighting up the refurbished office and shed light on the discussions with the Pinnacle team to realise the succinctly lit workplace.

The final day of presentations included RB furniture dealers and representatives of German brands Brunner and Koenig & Neurath discussing the sustainable elegant furniture selected and installed in the space. In conclusion, a detailed presentation was hosted by Neolith showcasing the sustainable, durable sintered stone surfaces and flooring integrated into the design concept by Pinnacle Interiors and their commitment to sustainability and environmental impact.

By the end of the eventful week, Pinnacle Interiors had established a new identity that reflects their ambition to collaborate with like-minded industry professionals.
