About Michele De Lucchi

One of the most internationally known and respected Italian architects and designers, Michele De Lucchi started working with Caimi in 2002, bringing with him his professional experience of deal with projects on any scale as well as a unique aesthetic sensibility balanced between industrial and artisanal heritage.

For Caimi, he designed the Battista accessories and Koala display systems, as well as Kaleidos, a chair (designed with Sezgin Aksu) that is utterly innovative both in material and manufacturing terms. De Lucchi was the first designer to tackle Snowsound, and his Mitesco design is now something of a hallmark throughout the world in the wider context of sustainable acoustics.  Although interested in all types of materials, wood – as a “living being” –  is his first love.
