About the project
Located in Warsaw’s Business District, Mattel’s Polish headquarters occupies 650 sqm on the 34th floor of Skyliner, whisking visitors into the magical world of its most popular children’s toys like Barbie, Fisher Price, Hot Wheels, and Matchbox. These iconic brands subtly influence the office’s interior design, which architect Barnaba Grzelecki describes as a colorful space reflecting the spirit of Mattel products. Despite the vibrant palette, the design ensures the colors and contrasts do not overwhelm employees, with spaces functionally differentiated to either excite or calm.
The office layout includes variably-sized meeting rooms infused with brand colors and motifs, and more subdued workspaces featuring a limited color scheme of gray and white with red accents. Social and collaborative zones contrast sharply with these calmer areas, incorporating bold decorations and comfort-driven furniture. Architect Jakub Bubel notes that while the open office areas appear calm, the meeting rooms buzz with color and brand identity, particularly in features like car engine-based tables and conference chairs fashioned from car seats.
