About the project
Pots, Pans & Boards is the first Dubai restaurant from British, Michelin-starred chef Tom Aikens, serving traditional, relaxed family meals, in a casual and homely environment. The restaurant is housed at Meraas’ ‘The Beach’ development at JBR.
All meals are cooked and presented on a pot, a pan or a board and that, coupled with Tom Aikens love of sharing delicious meals with family and friends in an informal and joyful atmosphere, was the inspiration for the name and the design of the restaurant.
This idea of relaxed sharing extends through to the design of the restaurant executed by international designer, Michaelis Boyd. The concept is evident in its natural, open, rustic style home kitchen feel, featuring reclaimed wood and mismatched furniture.
With a range of hanging copper pots and pans, shelves full of spices and condiments set in the middle of the dining area, old kitchen knives and large heavy cleavers stuck into the walls of antique kitchen tiles, this restaurant is designed to feel like a home away from home.
The interior fit-out was executed by Plafond and was launched in September 2015.
