About the project
This luxury entertainment floor houses an extensive thermally insulated and temperature-controlled wine cellar that can host up to 800 bottles. Staying relevant to the client’s needs to have design sensibilities that reflected their love for wine, the designers at Talati and Partners created an eclectic space that promised parties and fun times. The design sensibilities delve into an eccentric play of texture, finishes, colours, accents, and eclectic lighting elements.
One enters the space through a grand entry foyer, ornate with sleek stone finish walls. The foyer opens up a column-free space with no visual interruptions, this area houses comfortable seating in the centre, an elaborate bar counter towards the right, and a spacious dining zone towards the left. A state-of-art in itself, the space adorns the client brief adding all things that say ‘eccentric’. A monolithic iron man figure stands tall in the seating area, meanwhile, an ethereal piece by Paresh Maity depicting the Last Supper hangs around the entertainment zone, going in sync with the vibrancy of the space.
Moving towards the wine cellar, there is an exclusive open bar with sleek storage exuding a minimal look with maximalist materials. The wine cellar opens up to an entirely new design language, whether it is the oblong-shaped plan or the sleek natural wood flooring; the space evokes the senses. The thermally insulated space with temperature control is as much about its functionality as its aesthetics. Even the material palette maintains a balance between natural wood floors, marble top tables, and a monochromatic ceiling with dramatic lights; all this adds up in creating an exuberant experience for all wine connoisseurs.
