About the project
Adyen, a young fintech company were ready for a new London headquarters and went to Modus for help. There were a number of priorities for the client, which Modus took on with full force to curate an exceptional working environment for this Soho based space.
A beautifully designed workspace should bring the benefits of working from home into the office. With Adyens’ relocation to a bigger space, Modus’ design team were able to create wellbeing specific areas for Adyen employees to enjoy. Adyens’ employees expressed the importance of flexibility, having been able to do things like go to the gym when working from home. Modus took this into consideration and proposed the creation of a wellness room within their office space. The space comprises of two Pelotons, a Rowing Machine and an Elliptical Machine. A perfect addition to a modern-day workplace. This home away from home theme can be seen throughout the design of Adyens’ new HQ. The array of soft seating creates a refreshing range of environments for employees to work and socialise in.
Privacy can be challenging to find in some workspaces. Adyen recognised this and made it a priority to have a privacy room incorporated into the design of their new HQ and home. The Modus interior designers worked hard to develop a multi-functional space that would be appropriate for numerous activities. The space can be used for Prayer, Meditation, Breastfeeding or simply getting ready for an exciting event – the possibilities really are endless, catering for the variety of employee needs at Adyen.
One of the biggest requests from Adyen was to get a Barista run Coffee Bar. Modus designed and installed a sleek and stylish café area, providing a social space for employees to enjoy alongside a freshly prepared coffee. Adyen have generously given this beautifully crafted space to the charity ‘Change Please’ to use as a training facility for the homeless who are training to become Baristas. It’s always great to see excellent design being enjoyed by all.
