About the project
Motif Interiors were appointed to for the Design and Build full refurbishment of OSN’s Corporate Headquarters and Broadcast Center located in Dubai Media City. The project was completed in a phased program covering 35,000 square feet over 3 floors.
The space included Executive Offices, board room, meeting rooms, staff canteen, collaborative areas and over two hundred workstations for technical and administrative staff. The main challenge involved was to complete the project within strict timelines with minimal disturbance to the other floors which remained fully functional including modifying the existing IT infrastructure of the building. This complex delivery was managed with the additional considerations of social distancing and following strict COVID-19 protocols.
The Motif Design team worked closely with senior stakeholders within the client team to develop a modern design concept reflecting OSNs culture and recent rebranding. The result was bright and vibrant workplace with clean bold lines using the signature red color in key areas with concealed track lights used to brighten the internal corridors. As the initial design discussions began pre-pandemic there were some drastic changes to the brief regarding distancing between workstations and sizes of offices. Collaborative furniture was used to separate teams in open areas whilst also allowing space for private working and informal communication between departments.
