About the project
Springer Nature advances discovery by publishing trusted research, supporting the development of new ideas and championing open science. The Canvas conceived Springer Nature’s to be stimulating to the invention-driven brain – an ode to discovery and creation. The space is defined by clean, sinuous forms, enveloping functional zones that foster a variety of work patterns in a holistic ambience of health and tranquillity.
Innovation is palpable in every detail of the design, from the new-age, hybrid workspace modules dotting the work areas, to intricately perforated partition screens mimicking the foliage of trees – a beautiful treatise in bio-philic architecture. Aesthetic recall is manifested through bespoke furniture and light elements, interspersing the symphony of whites, greys and sepias that define the broader colour palate of the office space.
The Canvas core design consideration for this project stems from our belief that a mind at peace is a mind that can invent and innovate. Hence, we conceived Springer Nature’s office to be an oasis of tranquillity and health – stimulating to the invention-driven brain. The space is defined by clean, sinuous forms, enveloping functional zones that foster a variety of work patterns in holistic, optimistic ambiences. The customer experience is thus relaxed and calming, promoting thought and discovery through meaningful conversation.
Particular attention has been paid to creating a variety of functional workspace typologies that can facilitate unique workstyle preferences. Hence, the focus on what we call Spatial UX, defined by clear circulation+ navigation, working in tandem with strong visual focal points in line with theories of place-marking and memory recall. This enables the office floorplate to function in a coherent and organized manner within the general spatial fabric of flowing innovation spaces.
Beyond design, designer have used advanced BIM (Building Information Modelling) Technology in designing and executing this project, with every requirement measured and metricized, enabling optimized construction.
The project has been delivered using BIM (Building Information Modelling) Technology, which, beyond enabling optimized construction, also allows for structured implementation of Facilities Management frameworks, nurturing the project in maintenance lifecycles beyond handover.
The project has been developed for a private client, so its focus is on providing the ideal workspace solution. We always a great office fulfils its role of community engagement vicariously, for a well-served workforce is able to serve communities and society at large better.
Springer Nature is a research and innovation company, which advances discovery by publishing trusted research, supporting the development of new ideas and championing open science.
The end user of the space is hence its employee bank, engaged in various activities informing broad scale invention and innovation.
