About RAK Ceramics

Since its inception in 1989 in Ras Al Khaimah by H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, royalty has permeated every facet of its operation. Powered by his vision to craft bespoke products with cutting-edge technology and machinery, along with the current leadership of Sheikh Saqr Bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Ceramics the company has charted an impressive trajectory, making leaps and bounds through innovation.

About the brand’s secret sauce…

The award-winning brand, which weaves in a ceramic odyssey for various famous buildings, caters to projects of all sizes with its wide product range of 6000+ products. While their modesty says no endeavour is too small, their grit says no endeavour is too massive either. Paying attention to every detail and designing their products intricately in an indefatigable pursuit of perfection are the hallmarks of their operational philosophy.

Another spoke of their wheel of success is innovation, which they fuse into each stage of product development. An example is RAK-Sanit, a panoply of porcelain and ceramic tile collections that contribute to a healthier living and working environment owing to their  composition of silver nitrate compounds. The RAK-Sanit antibacterial technology is integrated into the tile surface, and eliminates bacteria immediately on contact. The silver ions bind to enzymes, proteins, cell membranes, and the DNA of the microbe to damage and block reproduction. The brand has also achieved innovative milestones through other innovative products like Klima, Passing Vein, LUCE, Orbit 3RS, and Absolute Matt.

Their avant-garde manufacturing plants form an essential backbone, equipped with various technologies like water-saving, HDD and DDD printers, Continua+, Maximus Mega Slab and Rimless technology. These inventions enable RAK Ceramics to consistently engineer superlative, high-quality, perfectly finished solutions for integrated ceramic excellence.

RAK Ceramics selects only the finest raw materials like clay, limestone and silica from the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah while importing other elements from different parts of the world. The diligence, passion and expertise of its 12,000+ employees across 40 nationalities keep them scaling seamlessly at an unswerving momentum with an astounding pace.

Plans for growth in the region (Middle East and Africa)

From 1989 to the dawn of the new millennium in 2000, when RAK Ceramics opened its first ceramic plant, it firmly anchored its roots within the heart of the Middle Eastern expanse. While they ardently work to strengthen their position in the core markets, they also want to augment their footprint in burgeoning markets through strategic initiatives.

With the overarching aim of delivering value and high-quality ceramic solutions in all markets they serve through their Value Creation Plan, RAK CERAMICS is also leveraging its recent acquisitions and capitalising on cross-company synergies. This astute approach empowers them to elevate productivity and operational efficiency to their zenith – the reason why they have been able to sell products in over 150 countries worldwide with ease.

RAK Ceramics is a success story that stands as a testament to the remarkable evolution from a ceramics producer to a global lifestyle brand in a short span of time. This success is owed to the vision and unwavering support of our stakeholders, sustained investment in manufacturing technologies, and the hard work of our diligent employees.
