About the project
Designed and built by Broadway Interiors, the brief was to create an office for a fast growing, energetic team that needed a platform to work efficiently and creatively in a multi-functional capacity, promoting the charitable work of HIPA (H.H. Sheikh Hamdan International Photography Award) on a global platform. Due to its diversity, an eclectic mix of spaces was needed, from a 92 person auditorium, a fully operable photographic studio, gallery space, meeting forums and luxurious elements for senior officials to work, meet and entertain guests. Being an image focused business, this 5-star office facility is sophisticated and contemporary; the design respects its local origins and maximizes amazing 360-degree views of Dubai.
The reception is adorned with rugged urban materials, fused with richer sophisticated plaster finishes and local mashrabia detailing. Ergonomic digital platforms entice users to explore the HIPA digital library, while sociable meeting clusters make the space private and a pause point for staff and guests alike.
The circulation corridor created retro styled openings, fitted with electrostatic glazing that instantly transforms into giant sized pictures framing the sophisticated interior decor of the varied meeting rooms, allowing privacy when required. Rich colours of the HIPA brand are
blended seamlessly throughout the scheme in varying materials and textures creating a fun and vibrant environment.
Technological integration has been interspersed within the décor to create a future proof media and communication hub promoting efficient working, while presentations, calendars and room bookings can be managed at the touch of a button. Lastly, due to sensitivity on photography, lighting was a key element of the design, therefore intelligent lighting system allows the transformation of spaces using
diffusion and broad lighting when required.
