About the project
Designed by Perkins+Will and executed by Faithful and Gould, King’s College Hospital London is a 15,000 square foot project, where the interiors emulate a simple yet elegant style that invokes a sense of comfort and care.
The main lobby features a glass wall, dark wood panels and dashes of electric blue lights amidst coffee toned furniture. This palette sets the initial tone, which flows into the extended waiting area. Specially designed waiting pods are placed in strategic locations, and a designated children’s play area sports shades of baby blue and wood.
While the lobby flooring is laced with white tiles, textured shades of beige cover the expansive hallways, with carpeted consultation rooms and warm wooden laminated flooring.
Subtle lighting has also been incorporated within false ceilings for the most part, however, custom built overhead light units take centerstage in the lobby and waiting areas.
