‘The starting point was a picture in a Japanese book from the fifties. The book was a catalogue of objects and in it was a guitar. Above the surface, under the waves. The architects at Snøhetta are behind Europe’s first underwater restaurant. Located below the ocean at the southernmost point of Norway, the Under restaurant is realised in collaboration with Kvadrat. 137 Soft Cells panels have been specially developed for the space – creating excellent underwater acoustics.
