Exquisite taste, elevated quality and a refined sense of luxury – these are the principles that define textile brand Sahco. We are proud to welcome them on board Love That Design.
For almost 200 years, Sahco has defined exquisite taste and superior quality in the world of interiors. Combining classic design and innovation, the elegant upholstery textiles and draperies of the Sahco collection have captured the hearts of a discerning international audience. Their rich textures and refined details can be found in many beautiful homes worldwide.
Sahco dates back to 1831 and has a reputation for paying attention to textile techniques and using exclusive materials to create high quality, rich fabrics that bring an atmospheric beauty to the home. It is very much about looking into what is valued from the past and how that translates to our contemporary context and our vision of the future.
Appointed in 2018 when Sahco became part of Kvadrat, Design Director Anna Vilhelmine Ebbesen continues to renew the collection, working with celebrated designers to launch new textiles.
Kvadrat’s subsidiary in Dubai was established in 2008, and as part of their local growth strategy, Sahco was integrated into Kvadrat in 2021.
Their showroom in Jumeirah Lakes Towers offers a dedicated team at hand to work with designers and architects to shape architectural spaces – to help designers and furniture manufacturers produce and craft furniture, and to bring tactility and colour into the private homes of the consumers segment.
“We are excited about the potential and we look forward to contributing to the design community by increasing awareness of how to create beautiful and healthy interiors with textiles that enrich people’s lives.”
Sahco’s newest collection, ‘Beau’, was launched in April 2021 and is currently available in the Dubai showroom. The collection is an evocation of inherent beauty and character, and reflects the desire to imbue homes with meaning and personality. It is luxury at its essence, life affirming and emotionally engaging. Textiles to feel and to see. Intuitive and expressive with dissolved forms and soft tactility. Rich in cultural references and refinement but relaxed in attitude and atmosphere.
Taking cues from cinematic vignettes, French haute couture and slow escapes or adventures, this collection of eight textiles plays with contrast and colour, gathering and realigning to create a fresh mode of expression. Sophisticated and subtly subversive, finding harmony within creative dissonance: delicate and strong, clear and nuanced, fluid and sculptural.
