As is tradition, every year end, we collate a list of our most highly viewed projects published over the course of the year. This year, we had to increase the scope of this exercise, particularly since we opened our doors to the international market and have been flooded with a massive body of incredible project design. So, for a bit of alliterative amusement, we now bring you the Top 20 of 2020!

Categorising our Top 20 down by industry, we highlighted our favourite projects, ones that had us truly inspired, and clearly our audiences as well, looking at spike in traffic on our site.

Here are the top projects of 2020… 


Lake Huron Home, Ontario

This summer house is set on the banks of Lake Huron in a small, remote, Canadian town, about an hour’s drive from London, Ontario.

RM Villa, Dubai

Created by LW Design,  the courtyard is the key architectural organizational element providing visual relief and spatial hierarchy. An ornamental tree provides shade whilst a water feature’s trickling sound permeates the space.

Dienes Jumeirah Villa, Dubai

Designed by Roar, the interiors of this Jumeirah Villa are elegant with a simplistic design. The overall atmosphere is fresh, open and light.

South Villa, Cape Town

OKHA’s emphasis was intentionally placed on the power of form, mass and materiality. Not wanting to overpopulate the spaces, they increased the scale of the few select pieces.


Sanofi Office, Dubai

Sanofi was designed as a space that facilitated collaboration and communication, with inside/outside feeling. The LEED certified project was deisgned by Bluehaus Group.

Sky Gardens by RAFAL Sales Office, Riyadh

Designed by Opaal Interiors, the RAFAL Sky Gardens sales office reflects the luxury and elegance of the high-end property development.

ME by Melia, The Opus

Opus ME by Melia has the honour of being the only hotel that was fully conceptualised by the legendary architect, Dame Zaha Hadid.

BASF Regional HQ Office, Dubai

Designed by Bluehaus, the interiors of BASF aims to provide a healthy, connected, agile and efficient work place environment not only for the employees and customers.


Mama Pho Restaurant, Palm Jumeirah

Located in The Pointe, Dubai, Asian restaurant Mama Pho exudes a casually contemporary vibe. Aces of Space designed the restaurant with a balance of unpolished authenticity and well-crafted design, further accentuated with unique Asian elements. 

Train Beach Club, La Mer

Situated in the North side of La Mer, the Train Beach Club offers a stunning view of the of beach. Designed by L.S.Design, the space consists of a beach club, a restaurant & lounge, a shisha area, a state-of- the-art-gym, boxing & yoga studio, a juice bar and more.

Glow Restaurant, Waldorf Astoria

Glow Restaurant, part of the Waldorf Astoria on the Ithaafushi Island, in Maldives, was designed by Stickman Tribe and conceptualised in the form of a greenhouse with a unique, interactive, garden-to-table dining experience.

Amazonico, Dubai

Designed by Lazaro Rosa Violan, the restaurant pays tribute to a rich culinary heritage that subtly blends influences from South America, Europe & Asia.


Haworth Showroom D3

The space also features the partner brands such as – Buzzispace, Brunner, Framery, Gan rugs and Pablo lighting. The showroom is a place where architects, clients & partners can meet, collaborate and work, a place for dialogue, to understand workplace requirements.

Ixora Organic Retail Shop, Dubai

Designed by Brand Creative, the 2000 square foot boutique, located in Dubai Festival City, is inspired by the juxtaposition of natural materials and deconstructed architectural forms, plus agricultural methods from three historical periods – the Mesopotamian, Roman and Egyptian.

Euromobil Showroom, Italy

Visually limitless, the two floor space with its natural lights and neutral materials and volumes grants lightness and versatility.

Harsahaimal Shiamlal Jewellery Store, Lucknow

Delhi-based architectural practice, RMDK, in collaboration with I’m The Centre for Applied Arts, created a home for their dazzling designs with a retail experience that would appeal to a wide range of audience.


Al Karamah School, Abu Dhabi

The project involved a rapid redesign and refurbishment of a former boy’s school into a safe, secure and inspiring learning environment for up to 260 Emirati co-ed learners.

Regent International School, Dubai

he brief was to turn the administration area into an exciting collaborative and open space that reflects the ethos of bold innovation in STEAM and Positive Education that Regent is famous for.

Amity University, Dubai

The interiors of Amity University Dubai are designed to stand out. Designed by IRD Design, the design concentrated on making a space that spoke to the student’s aspirations.

Murdoch University Campus, Dubai

Raw material textures and colours were clearly expressed highlighted, and assemblies of materials were made visible wherever possible within practical constraints.
